Hai,

I am a student of IIMC (finished my first year now). I am also the Alumni Secretary. I was thinking of setting up group mailing lists (say one for each batch) so that people can be in close touch with each other. With e-mail becoming popular (Internet might take a little more time) in India this should really take off. But the problem is getting machines to do this. Apparently this can be done easily with Unix based machines (Majordomo is available free for some Unix based machines). I was wondering if this could be set up in any of the US univs. I am an Alumnus of IIT Madras and we have a mailing list at MIT - as a result of which we are in close touch with each other.

I would like to know if this is possible.

Thank you.
-Senthil.

(PS : The administration/maintenance which will be time consuming can be done remotely from IIMC by the students and hence all we need now is a machine with the requisite software)
